This is Sorèl. Those in society, and in my church, who would rather I could be erased, remain, on this Day of Transgender Visibility, somewhat disappointed. This woman is not for erasing.
I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece.
I am intelligent and gifted.
I am a business woman.
I am a professional mental health clinician.
I am a researcher.
I am an innovator and a strategist.
I am an insightful visionary.
I am a motorcyclist.
I am an Anglican Priest.
I am a Rotarian.
I am your friend, your colleague, your confidant.
I am out. I am proud. I am a woman.
I am transgender.
…. and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Lady’s not for turning!
